Staying safe in Alert Level 3 & what it means for you

Essential travel

Hi ,

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday, New Zealand will enter Alert Level 3 as of 23:59pm on Monday 27 April and will remain there for at least 2 weeks.

Ola will still continue to operate just as we do today. With restrictions being lifted we can now help even more workers get to work, support regional travel when you need it and we can pick-up those essential shopping items for you.

Despite entering Alert Level 3 we strongly advise you stay home as much as possible to continue to support New Zealand’s fight against COVID-19.

If you do require to urgently travel, please follow the below advice:

Sit in the back seat to give you and your driver space.
Ride solo or with people you live with to maintain social distancing.
Roll the windows down during your ride.
Wear a face mask if you are required to do so.
Cover your nose and mouth using your elbow or a tissue if you feel during your ride you're going to sneeze or cough.
Wash your hands often with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitiser. Our drivers have also been required to increase cleaning and sanitisation of their vehicle. You should remember to wash your hands or use sanitiser before and after each ride.

Keeping our riders and drivers safe is more important than ever and we all need to do our bit to support each other. Please do the right thing and only take a ride when absolutely necessary.

Thanks,
Ola
