Dear valued guest,
At 9:21pm on Thursday October 3rd, 2019, an unknown individual maliciously hacked into our guests’ e-mail database and used it to send out spam e-mails. The content of the e-mail erroneously claimed that Kintan will charge each one of our guest in the amount of $3,920 and requested for each one of your response. Shortly after the e-mail was sent, both the database company and us were alerted of the issue. Since then, we have taken back control of the database.
We understand that your personal information was given to us based on trust. As a team, we are truly sorry about what had happened and the worries the e-mails may have caused you. We are writing to confirm that aside from name and e-mails, no other information was compromised. We do not store any credit card nor banking details of any of our guests as it would not only be unlawful but also entirely against our code of conducts. We will be reporting this incidence to Action Fraud and follow up with the authority closely in order to prevent further incidences from happening to any businesses.
Lastly, we want to say thank you to many of our guests who immediately alerted us of this suspicious activity as it allows us to tackle this issue in a timely manner.
Again, we deeply apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
