We would like to say thank you very much for subscribing to our Kintan Newsletter! As many of us are planning to celebrate this occasion, we would like to share a bit of information about what Valentine's Day is like in Japan.
In Japan, China, and South Korea, there are two celebrations equivalent to Valentine's Day: Valentine's Day itself and White Day.
On February 14th, Valentine's Day is typically observed by females who give gifts to males of their affection as an expression of love or courtesy.
On March 14th, White Day is then observed where males would give gifts in return.
White Day was first observed in Japan in 1978, and the practice has been observed continuously ever since.
At Kintan, we are also excited to be able to take part in this observation! We are offering a special course from Monday, February 12th to Friday, February 16th.
It will be a perfect opportunity for you to showcase your cooking skills to your loved one. There will be no need to fight over dirty dishes either!
In addition to our Valentine's Week Special Course Menu, our regular menu and all our other delicious food and drink items will still be available during this time.
We would be delighted to have you come and join us this week.
